Raith Rovers and Dunfermline played out a goalless draw at the top of the William Hill Championship.

The stakes were high as both sides were looking to move clear at the summit with a victory, but goals were never on the cards in a cagey Fife derby.

Dunfermline’s Keith Bray had the best chance in the first half as his curling effort from distance whistled just wide.

Olly Thomas almost stole it for the visitors in the final five minutes but Raith goalkeeper Josh Rae was equal to his stinging drive.

Raith did move to top spot with the draw, but Partick or Stenhousemuir could overtake them on Saturday.
