OXFORD University take on some of the country’s brightest prospects this weekend.

The Dark Blues host England Under 20s at Iffley Road in a friendly, as the national side prepare for next month’s Six Nations.

The game is on Saturday (2pm) and a capacity attendance is expected at the historic ground, with almost 800 tickets sold as of last week.

The England line-up could include Chinnor prop Rob Hardwick, who is on loan from Wasps.

Meanwhile, the 19-year-old’s teammates at Kingsey Road belatedly kick-off 2022 when they travel to Cinderford.

Chinnor fell to seventh in National League 1 by virtue of not playing last weekend, with this their first match since the 23-19 home defeat to Bishop’s Stortford on December 11.

The Thame-based side have lost just once on the road all season.

Elsewhere, a mouth-watering clash is in store at Dry Leas as two National 2 South high-fliers prepare to do battle.

Fourth-placed Henley Hawks can go above Redruth, in third, with a win.

Tom Emery, Marcus Lowe and Monty Bradbury return for the Oxfordshire side.

In South West 1 East, league leaders Banbury Bulls go to struggling Buckingham, while second-placed Oxford Quins visit Newbury Blues.

Grove host Sherborne and Witney go to Marlborough.

Bicester host Reading and Wallingford entertain Reading Abbey in Southern Counties North, while Gosford All Blacks are on the road at Aylesbury.
