OXFORD City's game against Slough Town has been postponed hours before kick-off due to 'Covid-19 related issues'.

The sides were scheduled to contest the Vanarama National League South fixture at Court Place Farm this afternoon.

A statement from the visitors said Covid was 'affecting both clubs', although the extent of this is unconfirmed.

The fixture will be rearranged in due course, while the hosts will contact any fans who purchased streaming passes for the game.

It is the second successive match City have had called off because of the virus, after Wednesday's FA Trophy third round tie against Truro City was also impacted.

The game had been postponed by 24 hours while a player for the Cornish side awaited the results of a test, which came back positive.

It meant the tie was cancelled and City received a bye into the fourth round.
