OXFORD City's Emirates FA Cup second round opponents Shrewsbury Town have sacked manager Sam Ricketts.
The former Oxford United trainee has been relieved of his duties at the Sky Bet League One club, while his assistant - and fellow ex-U's man - Dean Whitehead also leaves the club.
Shrewsbury let slip a two-goal lead at MK Dons last night, with the 2-2 draw leaving them 23rd in the table and without a win in eight games.
Goalkeeper coach Brian Jensen could take caretaker charge for Sunday's televised Cup tie, where City will aim to reach the third round for the first time in their history.
Captain Joe Oastler is set to miss the clash through suspension after he was red-carded in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Eastbourne Borough.
