TEENAGER James Coles’s big summer has continued after receiving a call-up to the Sussex squad.
The 16-year-old only made his Oxfordshire debut a fortnight ago, hitting a century against Buckinghamshire.
The county have a partnership with Sussex, which was set up in 2013.
And Coles was included in a 13-man squad for their Bob Willis Trophy match against Middlesex at Radlett.
While he was left out of the XI, it will have been a great experience for the Aston Rowant talent.
And he has certainly caught the eye of former Australia seamer Jason Gillespie (pictured).
Sussex’s head coach said: “We’re very excited to bring young James Coles into the squad for the first time.
“He’s a 16-year-old
right-handed batsman on our Pathway who also bowls left-arm spin.
“He’s an exciting young cricketer and it will be a great opportunity for him to be around the squad.”
