OXFORDSHIRE have announced their fixtures for the shortened summer.

Following the cancellation of the NCCA season, the county side have organised matches on four successive Sundays in August.

They start next weekend with a 50-over match against Buckinghamshire at Aston Rowant.

It will be a part of the newly-formed Nurton-York Cup.

The trophy is named in recognition of Mike Nurton, who played for Oxfordshire between 1963 and 1990, and Buckinghamshire stalwart Stuart York.

From next year it will be contested annually in pre-season, but the inaugural battle will be over three fixtures.

The winners of the 50-over match will get three points, while there are two points up for grabs in each of the two T20s to be held at Rowant on August 30.

Herefordshire then visit Banbury for another 50-over clash a week later.

Oxon then play T20 double-headers, starting against wandering Midlands club Free Foresters at Abingdon.
