Ben Green’s hat-trick fired Marston Saints to within two points of Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division leaders Cropredy in a 5-0 thrashing of Horspath.

Nick Thorne’s double completed the scoring as all the goals came in the second half, with Saints visiting the table-toppers next weekend.

Bicester United came back from a goal down to beat Summertown Stars 5-2.

Rowan Chappell (2), Wayne Blossom, Nathan Hallam and Ryan Collins scored their goals, with Daniel Cadman and Lewis Gerring replying.

Kennington Athletic also staged a stunning fightback to draw 3-3 with Chesterton after trailing 3-0.

James Casbierd’s treble put the visitors in charge, but Rob Andrews, Tom Butler and Dan Croad rescued Kennington.

Meanwhile, Cropredy crushed Mansfield Road 4-0 to reach the semi-finals of the Oxfordshire Charity Cup.
