Kaylem Patterson scored the only goal of the game as Kidlington beat Didcot Town 1-0 on Wednesday night.
The 31st-minute strike settled the BetVictor Southern League Division 1 Central clash, although Didcot wasted a great chance to level when Mark Francis missed a penalty late on.
Seth Humphries was fouled in the box 17 minutes from time, only for Francis to fire his spot-kick against the bar.
Meanwhile, Wantage Town needed extra time to see off Thame Rangers in their Emirates FA Cup preliminary round replay.
Wantage ran out 4-2 winners after the teams were level at 2-2 at full time.
