RYAN Lewis rewrote Stanton Harcourt’s record books with a quite staggering innings.
The big hitter smashed 218 not out as his side declared on 288-3 off just 22 overs in the OCA League Division 7 match against Kidlington, his knock including 20 sixes and 20 fours.
Stanton had been reduced to 6-3 in the fourth over.
Lewis, who scored a duck for Stanton’s first team the week before, started to steady the ship with skipper Jake Souch.
The duo had taken the score to around 80-3 in the tenth over, when Lewis teed-off.
Twice he was on course to hit 36 off an over – smashing the first five deliveries for six in one over and then the opening four of another, but was unable to complete a full house.
Kidlington’s bowlers had a day to forget – Ranjan De Silva was 0-79 off four overs, Tom McCormick 0-60 off three, while Josh Swadlin conceded 24 runs off his solitary over.
Kidlington were all out for 147.
