Fished by six teams of eight on the Kennet and Avon canal at Great Bedwyn, ISIS angler Price drew top end peg at the station pound.

He had skimmers roach and perch on a vsariety of baits at 11m metres on the pole for a winning weight of 8lb 5oz 0drms.

Steve Pawson (7.7.0) was second and Darren Wright third with 7.4.0.

Yarnton & District chairman Harry Oliver won the sixth round of their Winter League at Top Pool at Tunnel Barn Farm, Warwickshire.

Oliver saw off his 13 rivals to take a memorable win with 55.2.0, beating Steve Johnson (43.4.0) and Matt Snape (39.9.0).

With two rounds remaining, Johnson leads the standings by four points from Jamie Godfrey, with Oliver a further five back.

North Oxford AS fished for the Pixie Shield on the Thames at Godstow, where Nigel Payne had a mixed bag of bits for 10.8.0 on maggot over ground bait to secure first place.

Sonny Ayres (10.0.0) bagged second, with Terry Whittington (7.2.0) third.
