A charity gala has raised more than £20,000 to support young people in building careers within the construction industry.

The funds were raised at the Savills Development Charity Ball 2026, held at Keble College in Oxford, with 184 guests in attendance.

Professionals from across the property sector—developers, promoters, solicitors, landowners, and consultants—gathered to support Construction Youth Trust, a social mobility charity focused on helping young people access opportunities in construction and the built environment.

Sarah Forrest, senior fundraising and partnerships manager at Construction Youth Trust, said: "Events like this make a genuine difference, enabling us to showcase our work empowering young people to overcome barriers and explore the breadth of opportunities available in the built environment sector.

"Working closely with the team at Savills has been a pleasure and the evening was a wonderful celebration of partnership, opportunity, and the collective impact we can have when we come together."

The event was organised by graduates and newly qualified surveyors from Savills development teams in Oxford, Reading, Sevenoaks, Guildford, Chelmsford, and Cambridge.

Funds were raised through ticket sales, a raffle, and an auction hosted by Savills auctioneer Gary Murphy.

Entertainment on the night was provided by Paul Martin Magic.

Tom Lockwood, a surveyor in the Oxford development team and one of the organisers, said: "We can’t thank people enough for their support.

"This was the first charity gala that we’ve organised as a team, and it was a great success."
