Search the Public Notice PortalOxford United supporters will face road closures and parking restrictions around the Kassam Stadium under a temporary traffic order.
The order covers Grenoble Road and roads around its four roundabouts, from Robert Robinson Avenue to Guelder Road. It is being introduced by Oxfordshire County Council to support Oxford United Football Club’s Traffic Management Plan.
The order is dated October 19 and comes into force on October 26. It can remain in force for up to 18 months.
On match days and other authorised event days, the circulatory roads of the four Grenoble Road roundabouts may be closed. The measure is intended to keep traffic moving between the east and west.

Waiting, loading and unloading will be banned along the full length of Grenoble Road and at its junctions with side roads. Unrestricted parking areas on the north side of Grenoble Road will also be suspended.
Drivers wanting to use closed junctions will be directed to the stated roundabouts and told to return on the opposite carriageway. Other junctions may be closed if required, while lane closures may be used on local roads to allow one-way traffic.
During major operational or emergency procedures, all of Grenoble Road may close. The alternative route will be via the A4074 Henley Road, A4142 Eastern By-Pass, B480 Watlington Road, and vice versa.
Signs will show when and where the measures apply. Exceptions cover emergency services, traffic management operations, and access to premises available only from closed sections.
