A man has been named and charged after police found £1.5m in cocaine after pulling over an Audi on the A34 in Oxford.
Adrian Adamowicz, of Tunnel Hill, Worcester, was arrested at about 3pm on Saturday, August 22, after police stopped an Audi on the southbound side of the A34 in Oxford.
Armed police and dog units assisted officers in uncovering 21kg in cocaine with an estimated street value of more than £1.5million.
The 34-year-old appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court yesterday, Monday, August 24, where he was remanded in custody facing four charges.
These are possession with intent to supply a Class A controlled drug, namely cocaine; acquiring, using, or possessing criminal property; driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence; and using a motor vehicle on a road or public place without third-party insurance.
Detective Sergeant James Faithfull, of Specialist Operations, said: "Thames Valley Police is relentless in taking drugs off our streets, and this case represents a significant seizure.
