Police have been responding to concerns about speeding in Bicester and Langford village.

On Saturday, August 22, tasking team officers conducted a speed enforcement operation across local roads for a number of hours.

The operation was in response to worries expressed by local residents.

A police spokesman said: "We’re pleased to report that the vast majority of motorists were driving within the speed limits."

Only two drivers were found exceeding the limit.

Additionally, another vehicle was stopped, with the driver found to be driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.

Appropriate action was taken.

The police thanked residents for raising their concerns, assuring them that they are committed to making local roads safer.
