The purpose of a public notice is to make sure anybody - either an individual or a group - with an interest has an opportunity to find out about and comment on the proposal before a decision is made on whether to allow it to go ahead.
Operating centre application
A company wants to store 30 vehicles and 10 trailers at a site in Oxfordshire.
Lanes Group Ltd has applied to add an operating centre at Unit 50, Monument Business Park, Chalgrove.
Anyone who owns or occupies land nearby and believes their use or enjoyment would be affected can submit written representations to the Traffic Commissioner at Quarry House, Quarry Hill, Leeds, LS2 7UE, by October 31.
Submissions must also be sent to the applicant at 300 Lansdown Road, Eccles, Manchester, M30 9PJ.
Operating centre applications
A family-owned business has made two applications to keep vehicles and trailers at an Oxfordshire business park.
H&H General Carriers (Oxford) Ltd has applied to add an operating centre for 10 vehicles and 10 trailers at 180 Park Drive, Milton Park.
In a separate application, the company is seeking to add five vehicles and five trailers to its existing authorisation at 184 Park Drive.
If approved, the total at this address would rise to 10 vehicles and 10 trailers.
Anyone who owns or occupies land nearby and believes their use or enjoyment would be affected can submit written representations to the Traffic Commissioner at Quarry House, Quarry Hill, Leeds, LS2 7UE, by November 1.
A copy must also be sent to the applicant at The Glades Festival Way, Festival Park, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, ST1 5SQ.
Headington road closure
A 24-hour road closure will begin in Headington next month.
St Andrews Road will be closed to traffic from November 3 to 8 while work is carried out to rectify the depth of hydrant covers.
The closure will affect the section of the road at its junction with Larkins Lane, between numbers 37 and 33.
Traffic will be diverted via Osler Road, A420, B4495, Corpse Lane, Westlands Drive, Saxon Way, Dunstan Road, Osler Road, and vice versa.
Exemptions are in place for emergency services, works vehicles, and access to properties that are only accessible from the closed section.
Temporary traffic signs will be in place to indicate when the measures are in force.
Oxford road closure
A road in Oxford will be closed for resurfacing work at the end of the month.
Stanway Road will be closed to vehicles from October 27 for micro asphalt resurfacing work.
The work is expected to be completed on October 31 and will take place from 7.30am to 5pm.
Traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions will be made for emergency services, those involved in the works, and for access to premises that are only reachable from the closed section of the road.
Cyclists and pedestrians will still be able to use the road.
Traffic will be diverted via Grovelands Road, Kiln Lane, Ridgeway Road, London Road, and Collinwood, and vice versa.
