A University of Reading student has been reported missing after disappearing over 24 hours ago and is believed to be in the Oxford area.

Fintan, whose surname has not been disclosed, was last seen on Thursday, November 27 at around 3.07am in Oxford.

A post circulating on social media reported that after not returning to his university halls in Reading, many people have become concerned about his whereabouts.

Dr Phil Smith, a scientist and educator, has shared a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, in an attempt to find the university student.

He said: “A student from University of Reading was last seen Monday night into Tuesday morning in Oxford and has not returned to university halls.

“Many are worried, please keep your eyes peeled. Please share as widely as possible."
