An 11-year-old has become Oxfordshire under-18 Short Mat Bowls champion.
Thomas England, a pupil at Stonesfield Primary School, won the competition at Oxford & District Bowls Club on Sunday.
The contest also acts as national qualifiers.
Thomas didn’t lose a game against 10 other under 18s including his older brother Dyllan who came fourth in the county.
Thomas will now go on to national finals in Melton Mowbray next March competing against other under 18s from across England for the national title.
Dyllan at 13 has been selected by Oxfordshire County Adult team to play against the West Midlands this coming Sunday.
The full results for National Under 18’s were: Thomas England (winner); second Leo Gibson Evans; third Freddie Hergt and fourth Dyllan England.
