The AkzoNobel Automotive Training Centre in Didcot hosted the Ageas Sustainability Day, an event focused on exploring the best in sustainable practices within the automotive industry.
The event underscored the importance of collaboration and innovation in advancing sustainability within the automotive sector.
It also showcased the remarkable progress made by industry leaders and reaffirmed their shared dedication to a more sustainable future.
Paul Llewellyn, head of Ageas Motor Claims, started by highlighting the critical importance of developing sustainable solutions from industry suppliers.
Experts from AkzoNobel then took the conversation further, focusing on the success of its newly-launched Sustainable Repair Network (SRN) which provides a suite of tools and processes for vehicle repair shops to measure, monitor, and improve their CO2 performance.
The afternoon session was dedicated to practical demonstrations of AkzoNobel’s products, including a complete vehicle repair process completed in approximately 35 minutes, with the paint spray booth temperature maintained at no higher than 21C.
