A SENTENCING date has been set for a woman found guilty of setting fire to £2k worth of clothes.

Rahela Ahmed, 37, appeared at Oxford Magistrates' Court on Monday (May 13) charged with arson, threatening to damage/destroy property and assault of an emergency worker.

She previously pleaded not guilty and stood trial at the same court this week.

It was heard that on March 15, 2022, in Field Avenue, Oxford, she set fire to £2,000 worth of clothing belonging to Bradley Harding.

The count of threatening arson allegedly occurred the day before while the assault on an emergency worker, namely a police officer, occurred on March 17.

Ahmed, of Field Avenue, Oxford, was found guilty after a day-long trial and will now be sentenced on June 14.
