Queen's College in Taunton has announced its sponsorship of a Memory Garden to support the work of St Margaret's Hospice.
Old Queenian and alumna Lucy Allen is among those who designed the garden.
It is set to bring therapeutic benefits to individuals with dementia and those in the latter stages of their life.
The garden will feature traditional plants such as forget-me-nots, sweet peas, and clematis, aligning with their vision to stir nostalgia and familiarity for visitors.
Hospice residents will also contribute by painting pebbles to adorn its pathways.
The project, which illuminates the college’s dedication to community engagement, will be showcased at the BBC Gardeners' World Spring Fair from May 3 to 5, as well as at The Bath and West Show from May 30 to June 1.
Julian Noad, head of Queen's College, said: "St Margaret’s Hospice is close to the heart of many of the Queen’s community.
"We believe in fostering strong community ties and nurturing partnerships that make a positive impact."
Following its exhibition, the Memory Garden will be gifted to St Margaret's Hospice to enrich its garden space for residents.
This donation will further bolster Queen's College's ongoing commitment to community wellbeing.
