WORK has started on a new development of three homes in a village near Kidderminster.

The three detached homes are being built in Chaddesley Corbett - on a rural plot overlooking open fields.

The homes will be put on the market with a starting price of £520,000.

Director Sophie Horgan said: “Chaddesley Corbett is a beautiful village, in a stunning rural location but within easy travelling distance of larger towns and cities, and the three homes at Driers Mews have been carefully designed to enhance their location.

“Work is well underway now and I look forward to welcoming our latest buyers to their dream homes.”

Horgan Homes recently won the title of UK’s Best Small Housebuilder in the WhatHouse Awards.

The exterior of the three homes has been designed to maintain the character of the village and the site, which overlooks open fields.

The traditional design conceals a 21st century standard of energy efficiency and forward-thinking technology, including air source heat pumps, photovoltaic panels, upgraded insulation, and an electric vehicle charging point. Windows and doors are painted in Farrow and Ball Cromarty paint to blend in with the setting.

Sophie added: “The pandemic made many people re-evaluate their work-life balance and realise that access to nature and the outdoors is vital for health and well-being.

"Rural locations like Chaddesley Corbett are much sought-after, but quality new homes can be hard to find.

“Driers Mews offers the best of both worlds: a rural idyll that is easily commutable to Birmingham, Worcester and the wider West Midlands, as well as good transport links to the rest of the country.

“With some fabulous walks, cycle routes and bridle paths on the doorstep, and key local amenities like a Post Office with general store, butcher, hairdressers and doctor’s surgery, this is a rare opportunity to put down roots in a quintessentially English village.”
