A temporary speed restriction on the main road between Dorchester and Weymouth enabled a successful litter pick to take place.
Some unusual discarded items were among enough litter picked up to fill 150 bin bags.
The rubbish was picked up from the side of the Ridgeway and surrounding main roads in Weymouth.
A stretch of the A354 Weymouth Relief Road was restricted to 30mph on Monday and Tuesday, March 18 and 19 from 9am to 3.30pm to enable the rubbish to be gathered.

The litter pick was carried out by Dorset Council operatives from Crookhill Depot in Chickerell.
They picked up around 150 bin bags of litter, as well as car parts, building materials, and even an old Christmas tree.
A spokesman said: "All this rubbish had been dropped since September 2023, when we last picked here.
"A huge thank you to everyone involved for their hard work. We’d also like to thank the brilliant volunteers who litter pick their communities, and those who have the courtesy to take their litter home and/or secure their waste when travelling."
