A home care provider has won the Outstanding Independent Home Care Provider Gold Award at a major UK awards ceremony.

Mumby’s Live-in Care, based near Abingdon, received the honour on March 1, bagging one of the four overall achievement gold awards presented annually at the Home Care Awards.

The awards aim to give recognition to dedicated and expert home care providers making significant contributions to improving standard levels in the sector.

This year, Mumby’s team, known for their exceptional and highly bespoke live-in care services, caught the eye of the evaluation panel.

The winning team was presented with a trophy, which has now found its spot in Mumby's reception area, keeping company with other awards won previously.

The award panel praised Mumby's passion and commitment, describing them as a "truly outstanding independent home care provider."

The panel said: "Its team passionately delivers person-centred, exceptional and highly bespoke live-in care expertise.

"Recognising the importance of outstanding care in everything they do; staff go the extra mile.

"This is showcased in their award-winning and outstanding CQC-rated care.

The firm received High Commendation for the Best Training and Development Expertise Award.

According to the Home Care Awards panel, Mumby’s Live-in Care has an "innovative and outstanding" approach to staff training and development where carers are "optimally supported" in their roles.

The panel continued: "Mumby’s training and development expertise is the backbone behind the company’s achievements and its can-do culture."
