A MURDER-accused woman has admitted she did see Jorge Carreno before his death, a trial has heard.

Mr Carreno, a 30-year-old Spanish man, was found dead at Parsons Pleasure on July 26, 2021, after a night out with friends and colleagues.

For two years, no one was arrested and no one came forward to police appeals to identify the 'mystery figure' seen on CCTV with Mr Carreno hours before his death.

Over two years later in August 2023, following a tip-off, Thames Valley Police arrested 25-year-old Scarlet Blake, of Crotch Crescent, Marston, and she was charged with Mr Carreno's murder.

She is now standing trial at Oxford Crown Court where the Crown Prosecution Service has alleged she strangled Mr Carreno before pushing him into the water.

This is Oxfordshire: CCTV footage from the murder trial

On Monday (February 12), a list of agreed facts were read out to the jury where it was heard Blake does not dispute that it was her in the footage.

The agreed fact read: "There is no dispute that Ms Blake was in the company of Mr Carreno from 4am at Radcliffe Camera until 4.27am at the entrance of the Marston Cycle Path."

Another agreed fact heard was that there is no dispute that the DNA of Blake was found on a red vodka bottle cap found at Parsons Pleasure.

The trial continues.
