A woman has been hit from behind by a man on a bike while she was running on a cycle track in an Oxfordshire town.

The runner in her 60s was running on Peep O’Day Lane in Abingdon at around 3.30pm on Monday (February 5) when she was hit by the cyclist riding past.

The cyclist is described by police as a white man in his late teens to early 20s.

He was wearing a black jacket with his hood up, a dark face mask and carrying a camouflage backpack, say police.

The woman did not suffer any injuries.

Investigating officer PC Matthew Glen said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this assault to please come forward.
