A van driver has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of cannabis just three weeks after being arrested for the same offence.

The driver, who was stopped by police in Launton, Bicester, was placed on a drug wipe and allegedly failed it for cannabis.

Cannabis was also found in the vehicle, police have said.

Further checks showed the driver had been arrested only three weeks prior for the same offences.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and possession of cannabis.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: “They will now be released under investigation to wait for the evidential blood sample to come back.

“We have to wait for bloods to come back to prove the offence of drug driving.

“If they are over, they will be summoned to court.”
