Dua Lipa has shared selfies of her recent stay at the Cotswolds newest celebrity hangout.

Hanks House, which is described as a “membership-free swanky staycation home the A-list can’t get enough of", was set up by owner James Bennett because he could not get a booking at the nearby Soho Farmhouse.

Mr Bennett, a 40-year-old bricklayer turned financial adviser who lives in London's Notting Hill, bought the "small, run down house" in Chipping Norton as a holiday home in 2018.

The "Airbnb for the super rich" has a dark green tiled porch, a mosaic doormat that reads Hanks House and leopard-print staircase, grand piano and golden chandeliers.

It also has seven individually themed bedrooms, six bathrooms, a cinema, a bar hidden behind a bookcase, a gym, massage room and sauna and a turquoise outdoor pool.

Mr Bennett added a recording studio which has been visited by Tom Grennan and Tinie Tempah.

Through a personal trainer friend he was introduced to Hanks House’s first celebrity guest, David Hasselhoff.

Posting those pictures on Instagram raised the venue’s profile and his biggest guest to date was three-time Grammy winning Dua Lipa who posed and took selfies in Hanks bar.

“That was, like… great,” Mr Bennett told The Sunday Times.

Other guests have included fashion designer Julien Macdonald, Emily in Paris actor Lucien Laviscount and the influencer Lorna Luxe who has 1.4million followers on Instagram.

Mr Bennett said although the house is decorated as a party house he is keen to avoid upsetting the neighbours and ‘has already had a few run-ins’.

He is now contemplating a Hanks House restaurant and recently collaborated with the Cotswold Guy – private chef Christopher Davey, a favourite of the Beckhams.
