Shopping baskets and ploughed fields could become sofas, bedrooms and gardening tools as plans to transform a farm shop have been lodged.

A planning application has recently been submitted to convert a former shop in Cherwell into a house.

The proposal concerns Meadowsweet Farm on Hornton Lane in Horley near Banbury.

The plans have been submitted by Mr and Mrs Hamer through the agent Hammond Town Planning.

The application was received by Cherwell District Council on June 1 and it was validated on June 7.

A target decision date for the council's planning committee has been set as Wednesday, August 2.

Meadowsweet Farm is described as a detached house on the public planning portal.
