A teen BMW driver has admitted failing to stop at the scene of a crash – just weeks after he was banned from driving.
Joshua Wilks-Hanley, 19, had been given the driving ban in March for drug driving.
On April 9, he was behind the wheel of a green BMW 3 series when he caused an accident on Hailey Road and left the injured man behind at the scene.
Appearing before Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, Wilks-Hanley, of Eastfield Road, Witney, pleaded guilty to careless driving, driving while disqualified, failing to stop after a road accident and driving without insurance.
He was bailed to return to court for sentence on December 1. The magistrates ordered a probation report.
