Oxford Mail Camera Club members were given a colourful theme this week.

They were tasked to produce photos featuring the colours green, yellow and red as part of the celebrations for International Traffic Light Day.

There were plenty of shots of local nature scenes and buildings.

These included the River Thames and Blenheim Palace, and there was even one photo of a set of traffic lights but Stephen Pimm’s picture of a hovering bee stood out.

Each week, camera club members are given a theme and they then post their photos on the club’s Facebook page.

The Oxford Mail publishes a selection of photos each week, based on the given theme.

A winner of the week is then chosen - although it might not be a theme-related picture as some members decide not to go with the theme and take photos of other subjects instead.

The next theme on the list is ‘animals’, chosen to celebrate World Elephant Day.
