Eynsham Carnival returned this weekend with Morris Dancing, float judging, shirt races, stalls and more.

The annual event, which took place on Saturday (02), is one of the oldest carnivals in the county. It celebrated it’s 70th anniversary in 2016.

Main attractions this year included a parade, outside stalls and craft fair, arena acts, fun fair and the famous “shirt race”.

The event started with Morris Dancing in the square and then at the Swan Pub from 11am onwards. At 12pm there was float judging followed by the shirt race and then the craft fair from 1pm.

Other entertainment included Deep Down Brass Band, Jez Avery Stunt Show, The Hogg Show, Armaleggan Morris, Archery and Zorbs, Punch and Judy, and Sheridan the Sheepdog.
