A YELLOW weather warning has been issued for Oxfordshire as thunderstorms are due to hit tomorrow (23).

According to the Met Office, Oxford could see thunderstorms, as well as most of the country with, with the warning coming into effect from 10am tomorrow. It will remain in place until 11.59pm.

Torrential downpours and flooding are expected in some areas and the Met Office have warned people to expect disruption to travel.

The warning highlights sudden flooding and spray could lead to difficult driving conditions, some road closures and cancellations of public transport or flood homes and businesses.

Despite the warning, weather in Oxfordshire tomorrow could reach highs of 25C in the early afternoon with no signs of rain or thunder at any specific time.
