A CAFÉ and craft store in Wallingford is closing its doors after almost seven years.

Busy Brush Café, in St Mary’s Street, will be closing on Sunday, July 24 after a buyer failed to come forward in time.

The café, which sells coffee and cake as well as offering pottery, painting and decopatch activities, has been looking for a buyer to take on the business for several weeks but no one has come forward.

Andrew Jackson, who runs the business, said the store is closing for “personal reasons” and he is “gutted” a buyer hasn’t been found.

In a statement on Facebook, he said: “Busy Brush has been on the market for a while now but even with numerous viewings and discussions unfortunately no buyer has come forward in time and therefore I have no choice but to close the shop.

“Busy Brush has been serving locals and the wider community with craft activities, drinks and yummy cakes for nearly seven years.

“It is with a heavy heart to announce that Busy Brush Cafe will close its doors for the last time on Sunday, July 24.
