A SOLAR farm covering 52 hectares could be built on land near Coleshill.
An energy company has submitted a screening opinion request on the Vale of White Horse District Council website, for the development of a solar farm and associated infrastructure on land of off Snowswick Lane near Coleshill.
Abei Energy said: "The Proposed Development responds to both the Government’s and the Local Planning Authority’s support for solar energy by providing a renewable energy supply that would reduce carbon emissions and assist in establishing a greater diversity of energy sources in the UK."

In the application the energy company highlighted that the district and county council , declared a climate emergency in February 2019 and so both are fully committed to the international challenge of tackling climate change.
A decision is set to be made by March 10.
