EIGHT schools in Oxfordshire have confirmed partial closures due to staff sickness.

The nursery at Comper Foundation Stage School in Oxford is closed until Thursday due to staff shortages.

The nursery at Dunmore Primary School in Abingdon is closed until Friday due to staff sickness. Class 2 (Reception) is closed today for the same reason.

The whole nursery setting at Five Acres Primary School near Bicester has been closed since Friday.

The nursery is due to reopen on January 24, or before if possible.

There is also a partial closure of the Reception year as of today.

Frank Wise School in Banbury has partial attendance in both the third family group and the seventh family group. This will be in place for the rest of the week.

Hardwick Primary School, also in Banbury, has seen the Year 2 class close with pupils moved to remote learning for the rest of the week due to staff shortages.

The class is due to reopen to pupils on January 24. All other year groups remain open as normal.

The Michelangelo class at Northern House Academy in Summertown is closed today due to staff shortages.

Year and Year 2 classes at St Edburg’s CE Primary School in Bicester are closed today due to staff absence.

The school expects these year groups to be closed all week, but the situation will be reviewed daily.

The Reception and Nursery class at Uffington CE Primary School will be closed tomorrow due to staff shortages.
