POLICE are no longer appealing to find a man after an alleged sexual assault at a pub.

The incident happened in 2015 when the victim, who is now in her 20s was under 16.

In November police said she was attacked in the Cricketers Arms in Temple Road, Oxford in April 2015.

They said the man sexually assaulted her over her clothing and pulled her hair, saying he was in control of her head.

The victim moved away from the man but he followed and continued to assault her.

She reported the incident to police in October.

Police put out an image of a man they were looking for but are now no longer appealing for him as their investigation progresses.

PC Holly Bradley, of Cowley police station, said: “We are releasing the image of this man as we believe he may have information that could help the investigation.

“Anyone who recognises this man, or if you are pictured, please get in touch by calling 101 or making a report online, quoting reference 43210475748.

“Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact the independent charity, Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111 or via their website.”
