SCHOOLS in Oxfordshire have announced partial closures this week.

The Oxford Academy announced Years 7, 8 and 9 will be taught remotely for more than a week ‘due to large numbers of teaching and support staff’ being absent.

Meanwhile, Fitzwaryn School – a special school in Grove – has closed two classes.

Both the Pine and Ash classes have been closed today due to ‘business continuity issues’.

Pine class families will receive a further update today, while the Ash class will reopen tomorrow.

Frank Wise School, a special school in Banbury, has seen the 2nd family group closed, while the 7th family group is closed while the results of PCR tests staff and pupils are waited for.
