COMMERCIAL managers to oversee the reopening of Oxford Stadium have been appointed from a Football League club.

Lisa Hust and Julia Perry join from Sky Bet League Two side Northampton Town, with Ms Hust appointed as commercial operations manager and Ms Perry as commercial support manager.

Their roles will see them establish partnerships with businesses, charities and community groups.

Oxford Stadium’s facilities will include a sports bar, restaurant, three dance studios, community cafe and office space.

It has been confirmed speedway will return and there are also plans for greyhound racing and go-karting.

Ms Hust said: “I’m so excited by the challenge and the opportunity to reignite such an important community hub.

“I’m passionate about community and was sold on the vision for Oxford Stadium straight away.

“We’ve got an opportunity to create something very special for people and the response we have had so far has been amazing.

“The internal space is incredible and is being regenerated to provide multiuse facilities for everything from major events through to intimate community meetings.”

Ms Perry added: “The response to news that Oxford Stadium is reopening has been incredible.

“We have made a good start on the stadium’s regeneration journey and it’s important we maintain momentum ahead of our grand opening.”
