The in application the skate shop states that although sales are doing well, a private tattoo parlour would help establish the buisness in the area ‘for the long term’.

The planner added: “Tattooing and skateboarding have been tightly linked since the 1980’s, and it is the perfect opportunity to provide a unique location in Oxford.

“There have been a number other successful skateboard and tattoo stores around the UK, and we hope to be able to join them.”

If the plans are given the green light by the council the shop hopes the whole community can benefit from the shop and help to ‘rebuild’ the skateboarding community in the area.

The tattoo parlour will also have a separate entrance at the back of the building to make it 'private and hygeinic'.
