The Rumble Museum is collecting stories and items connected to the history of Oxford’s “Robin Hood” area.
Next weekend, November 13, the museum will run a Story Collection Morning at St Alban’s Church on Charles St between 10am and 12pm.
According to the museum, it is said that the “Robin Hood” area was a poor area stretching between Magdalen Road and Howard Street in East Oxford.

Because of this, the “outlaw” behaviour of the residents, and its location it at the City’s boundaries, the area earned this name.
The aim of the event is to will record these and make them available for others to listen to or view through an online archive gallery.
