Many families will be counting down to October 31 by making lanterns out of their pumpkins and visiting lots of special 'spooky' events.

We would like our readers to join in the fun by sending in their photos of their pumpkins or youngsters dressed up in their Halloween costumes.

We will then publish the pictures in a special supplement at the beginning of November.

There are lots of Halloween events and activities in the run-up to October 31.

There's a Halloween trail at Blenheim Palace in Woodstock from October 22 to October 31.

You can ride the mini-ghost train and come face to face with the beasts of Blenheim as part of the palace's Halloween family entertainment.

Blenheim Palace will also host a Frightful Fire performance on October 26 and 27 in the Great Court and they will have a bat trail in the walled garden.

And at Fairytale Farm near Chipping Norton there is Halloween fun, from October 23-October 31.

You can become a Fairytale Supernatural Sleuth and solve riddles by venturing down the Enchanted Walk.

With fairytale actors, an activities barn and even a Pumpkin Patch where you can pick your free pumpkin to carve in Jack’s Yard, there's plenty to do for all the family.

Families are being asked to turn up in their best Halloween costumes.
