A man arrested in connection with last Friday’s fatal stabbing has been bailed.

The 40-year-old was arrested on Sunday afternoon on suspicion of assisting an offender and perverting the course of justice.

It followed the alleged murder of Lee Butler, 39, in Bayswater Road on Friday night. The Barton man, described by his family as a ‘gentle giant’, was stabbed in the chest and died at the scene.
