A MAN accused of driving a stolen Mercedes will stand trial next month.
Michael Hogan, 31, denies being behind the wheel of the Mercedes 220 in Cumnor on September 14 or driving it while disqualified and without insurance.
Appearing before Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Monday afternoon, Hogan, whose address was given on the court list as Abingdon Town Football Club, pleaded not guilty to handling stolen goods, disqualified driving and driving without insurance.
He pleaded guilty to assaulting a police sergeant and damaging his uniform on October 9, entering a basis of plea that he had not thrown a punch at the officer. He admitted possession of cannabis at the Didcot Cineworld cinema on October 8.
The magistrates remanded him into custody ahead of a trial on November 29.
