SHANNON COX, 19, of Dashwood Road, Oxford, was found guilty of assaulting a man in September last year but acquitted of damaging his Mercedes taxi. She was given a 12-month community order with 30 hours of unpaid work, must pay £50 compensation and £195 in costs and surcharge.

SHOFIK TOWNSEND, 44, of Cowley Road, was sentenced to 16 weeks’ imprisonment after he admitted burgling the shed of a house in Giles Road, Oxford, on April 10. The magistrates, who ordered he pay £328 in costs and surcharge, noted Townsend had a record of similar offending.

TONY REECE, 32, of Purslane Drive, Bicester, was found guilty of possession of a blade in Sheep Street, Bicester, without good reason or lawful authority. He was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment suspended for 18 months and must take part in a year-long drug rehabilitation programme. The bench ordered he pay £320 costs and a £128 victim surcharge.

MOHAMMED KARIM, 35, of Rymers Lane, Oxford, admitted sexually assaulting a woman by touching. He was given an 18-month community order with a requirement to take part in a 38 day probation programme and must pay £180 in costs and surcharge.

NEIL HONOUR, 56, of Purslane Drive, Bicester, was fined £538 and given six penalty points for speeding in Lower Hayford and on the A41. He must pay £85 costs and a £54 victim surcharge.

SEBASTIAN NITKA, 41, Mulberry Drive, Bicester, admitted doing 67mph in the 40 zone on the A41 at Bicester. He was fined £420, given six points and must pay £127 in costs and surcharge.

SIMON WALLER, 56, of South Meadow, Ambrosden, was fined £512 and had six points added to his licence for speeding on the A41 at Bicester. He admitted doing 71mph in the 40 zone. The magistrates ordered he pay £85 costs and a £51 victim surcharge.

PHILIP HARPER, 44, of Grebe Close, Oxford, admitted breaching a restraining order banning him from going to Astrop Lane, Oxford, just a month after it was imposed. He also admitted breaching an earlier 16 suspended sentence. He was jailed for 19 weeks, with the court noting it was a ‘blatant’ breach of the restraining order. Harper must pay a £128 victim surcharge.

ROSS LAIRD, 42, of Pilmore Road, Chinnor, admitted knocking out a single-crewed police officer in Chinnor on August 28. He pleaded guilty to causing actual bodily harm, was remanded in custody and the case sent to the crown court for sentence on September 21.

ISMAN ABBAS, 35, of Don Stuart Place, Oxford, was fined £440 and given four points for speeding on the A34 at Radley. He was caught doing 82mph in the 60 zone. The magistrates ordered he pay £134 in costs and surcharge.

ARTHUR BANNISTER, 44, of Hermitage Court, Cholsey, pleaded guilty to speeding on the A41 at Bicester. He was caught doing 50mph. The JPs fined him £175, imposed three penalty points and ordered he pay £124 in costs and surcharge.

JULES ST CLAIR, 54, of Sandy Lane, Oxford, admitted speeding on Watlington Road, Oxford. He was fined £184, given three points and must pay £124 in costs and surcharge.

SANDY DALLIMORE, 45, of Cedar Drive, Bicester, admitted speeding on the A41 at Bicester. He must pay a £120 fine, £124 in costs and surcharge and his licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

SIMON JONES, 43, of St Johns Street, Bicester, was fined £220, given three points and ordered to pay £124 in costs and surcharge after he was found to have been speeding on the A41 in Bicester.

TYLER JUSTICE, 19, of Bassett Road, Oxford, admitted driving without insurance. He must pay £120 in fines, given six points and was ordered to pay £124 in costs and surcharge.
