Are you an employer trying to find new talent and improve productivity?  Recruiting an apprentice could be the answer! New College Swindon offers apprenticeships across a wide range of roles and industry sectors - along with all the support you need to navigate processes and access government funding.

You can either hire a new apprentice, or upskill an existing employee, and organisations report many benefits. These include improved productivity and product/service quality; improved staff retention; and the ability to shape and develop the skills that their business needs. 68% of employers who take on an apprentice keep them in employment afterwards. Bringing you tomorrow's workforce today, apprenticeships could help to revolutionise your business.

You can employ apprentices at different levels, from school leavers and university graduates, to those who want to further or change their career. Apprenticeships suit companies of any size and income and provide a cost effective and affordable answer to training and recruitment. The average UK employer spends £3,000+ and 27.5 days (when trying to fill a vacancy).

With an apprenticeship, you could receive Government funding and help with some or all of their training costs. There is currently an increased incentive of £3000 for any apprentice hired before 30 September. This is on top of the existing £1,000 payment provided for new apprentices aged 16 to 18 and those under 25 with an Education, Health and Care Plan, meaning that some employers could receive £4,000 in total.

So, there are very few reasons not to recruit an apprentice - with great benefits for your organisation, the development of a highly skilled workforce and funding and incentive support.

But why use New College as your training provider? We've been successfully running apprenticeships for many years, with an impressive 97% employer satisfaction rate. Our provision continues to grow, with new subjects being offered. Our new Swindon & Wiltshire Institute of Technology (IOT) specialises in delivering higher skills training and apprenticeships, providing learners with a clear route to technical employment, and employers with a skilled workforce. You’ll have access to support from our helpful and friendly team, which includes advertising your vacancies and shortlisting of candidates.
