ONE person has died in Oxfordshire after testing positive for Covid-19, taking the total number of victims this week to four.
Official Government figures show that as of 4pm on Thursday, a further 332 new coronavirus cases were registered in the county.
Currently, there are 28 patients with the virus admitted in Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with three of them on ventilation.
The rate of infection in Oxford now stands at 8,346 cases per 100,000 people, lower than the England average of 8,619.

The UK has recorded a further 84 Covid-related deaths and 39,906 new cases with 788 patients admitted to hospital, Public Health England confirmed.
Cases identified through a positive lateral flow test – those which can deliver results within half an hour – will no longer be counted if the person then takes a PCR test, which is sent to a lab to be checked, and receives a negative result within three days.
