Clarkson’s Farm has been commissioned for a second series following the huge success of the first series, to the delight of fans.

Host Jeremy Clarkson campaigned on Twitter for a new series after the first series received a hugely positive reception.

He asked fans of the show to ‘write to Amazon’ if they wanted to see the it return to screens amid suggestions it could be cancelled.

Writing on Twitter yesterday, the 61-year-old presenter said: “I can reveal now that contrary to various silly reports, the farming show was never cancelled.

“Amazon were just as keen as us to get cracking. And now we are doing.”

The 61-year-old explained that Amazon Studios had not said no to a second series, but had not said yes either.

In a video also posted on Twitter, the former Top Gear presenter also said: “Following the success of the first series, I’m delighted to say there will be a second series of Clarkson’s farm.”

Clarkson also confirmed that characters such as ‘Charming Charlie’ would return, along with the standout star of series one, Kaleb Cooper.

The Amazon Prime Video series won praise for its charm and humour, charting Clarkson’s antics on the land he owns in the Cotswolds.

Clarkson bought the farm – Diddly Squat – in 2008 which was run by a local villager. When he retired in 2019, the TV presenter decided to see if he could run the farm himself.
