Midsummer's evening in Wytham Woods in Oxford was the time for teachers from city secondary schools to share ideas on how best to tackle the climate and ecological crisis.
The Oxford Sustainable Schools Network (OxSSN) was the initiative of Megan Murray-Pepper of Magdalen College School and Kim Polgreen, Youth Educator in Residence at Wytham Woods.

They believe schools have a vital role to play in tackling the climate and biodiversity emergencies. Since January OxSSN has held several online meetings at which the teachers shared ideas, achievements and plans.
Ms Murray-Pepper said: “It was great to hear about initiatives of other schools. We were encouraged to hear about some creative solutions.”
Teachers reported on a range of achievements at their schools.
