THE victim of a 'hit-and-run' in Oxford is appealing for CCTV footage of the incident.

In a message posted online through Thames Valley Police alerts yesterday, the victim said: "Just before 11.30am today, I was involved in a car collision in Henley Avenue. This was caused by a white Ford van driver pulling out of Cornwallis Road without due care and hitting my car and causing me to swerve all over the road.

"My car is very damaged and I am very shaken. The driver shot off and failed to stop."

The victim says the vehicle was a white Ford Transit Connect 53 plate registration.

They added: "Is there anyone on the network who may have any CCTV footage in Cornwallis Road between 11.15-11.30 today? This may help identify the driver who failed to stop. He needs catching."

Police say if you have any information, go to www.thamesvalleyalert.co.uk where you can reply to the enquiry.
