Cornbury Festival has been called off until next year but other Oxfordshire music festivals are still planning to go ahead, including the Big Feastival at the end of August, on Alex James’ farm in West Oxfordshire.

Former Blur bassist Alex James has declared that the feastival will go ahead this year - that’s the plan - and the dates have now been announced - August 27-29.

Doubts had surrounded the event – a celebration of music, food and family fun in Kingham – which was last year cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

But Mr James has confirmed the 10th anniversary of his three-day party will go ahead from August 27-29.

It will be headlined by Sigala, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man and Nile Rodgers & Chic– who would have been last year’s bill toppers.

Mr James said earlier: “I cannot wait to welcome everyone back to the farm this summer for our 10th Birthday party.

"We’re all in need of a serious celebration this year so we’re pulling out all the stops to ensure this is our best line-up yet. Roll on August!”
